OUT OF CHARACTER
Out Of Character is an animated short film directed by Niccolo Gioia exploring the challenges of social integration and the search for one’s own identity through the mix of various techniques of animation.
Nick started “Out Of Character” as a way to study the hybridization of different animation techniques as his project thesis at Robinstudio : the project then took form as a full-fledged animated short film.
The main Character is Anton, who tries to socialize with his schoolmates by changing his animation style, in order to fit in with whomever he meets.
He will soon find out he needs to reshape the way he relates to others in order to find his own identity.

Out of Character è un cortometraggio d’animazione diretto da Niccolo Gioia che esplora le sfide dell’integrazione sociale e la ricerca della propria identità attraverso l’insieme di varie tecniche di animazione.
Nick ha iniziato “Out Of Character” come un modo per studiare l’ibridazione di diverse tecniche di animazione per il suo progetto di tesi presso Robinstudio: il progetto ha poi preso forma come un cortometraggio d’animazione a tutti gli effetti.
Il protagonista del cortometraggio è Anton, che cerca di socializzare con i suoi compagni di scuola cambiando il suo stile di animazione, al fine di adattarsi a chiunque incontri.
Scoprirà presto che ha bisogno di rimodellare il suo modo di relazionarsi con gli altri per trovare la sua vera identità.
